Today we visited a kindergarten class and had an amazing time playing with the kids. Watching these kids, I couldn’t stop thinking about what life will be like for them. I hope that in their lifetime they will see democracy, liberty, and justice.

To the little boy who we visited in his kindergarten class,
One of your classmates took your coin and you started to cry.
Just like any child would.
You still have a sense of justice.
You are so innocent.
I wonder:
When the soldier turns you away at the check point, do you cry?
When dirty water is thrown down on you from the settlers’ apartments above ,do you cry?
When the settlers parading through the city taunt you, do you cry?
As you grow up will you still have tears?
When your brother is arrested, will you cry?
When your family’s shop is forced to close, will you cry?
When you are spit on and beaten, will you cry?
Surely, when your cousin is shot, you will cry.
Or at some point do you run out of tears?
