About Us

Hi! We are Maria and Christian. We are currently on a year-long round the world trip.

Before traveling full-time, Christian worked as a software engineer, and Maria worked as a registered dietitian. We both love to cook, read, and spend time outdoors (hiking, gardening, cycling, fishing, and camping). In our lives we value and strive for simplicity, adventure, justice, and of course being a little crunchy.

We will use this blog to share our adventures around the world. We love food and cooking, and also plan to use this blog to share recipes from our adventures and other food related content. If you’d like to see more frequent photos from our travels, follow us on Instagram.

We met in college in 2013 and have been married since 2016. In college, Maria spent a summer living in India, and Christian coached youth basketball camps in Europe for a summer. After getting married we spent two months living in Taiwan together. After these experiences we itched for more long-term travel, which eventually led us to the decision to quit our jobs and travel for a year.
